At the University of Dundee, individuals have the support and guidance to navigate this transition into university life and achieve their educational goals. To experience university life to the fullest, the support services and staff at the University of Dundee are on hand to assist, addressing practical, personal, health, academic, or financial support needs.

The university offers pre-sessional English courses and free English language lessons for international students, covering academic writing, seminar skills, listening, and note-taking.

The University's Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, School of Medicine and School of Dentistry are all internationally renowned and rank consistently high in UK league tables. The University of Dundee subjects of anatomy and physiology, dentistry and social work all feature in the top ten subject rankings in the UK.

84% of University of Dundee was assessed as ‘world leading' or ‘internationally excellent’ in the REF 2021. For the second successive REF, Dundee is the top university in the UK for Biological Sciences and also recorded strong performances in its clinical-related research, in the areas of Clinical Medicine and Allied Health Professions.

Accommodation

Dundee accommodation is typically within walking distance of the main campus. If you apply as an undergraduate student before the deadline, you are guaranteed to be offered a room (terms and conditions apply). The university can also assist with finding private accommodation.

Location

Dundee is a waterfront city on the River Tay's banks and surrounded by some of Scotland’s finest countryside. Explore further afield with easy accessibility by road, rail or air to other cities and all Scotland offers. It has some of the lowest living costs for UK students and is Scotland’s sunniest city, the first UNESCO City of Design in the UK and home to the V&A Dundee Museum.

Dundee Airport flies direct routes into London City Airport for those wishing to connect from either Heathrow or Gatwick. At the same time, other Scottish airports such as Glasgow, Edinburgh or Aberdeen also offer international destinations.
