He has developed international collaborative partnerships for major UK universities. These include the University of Bradford’s entry into the Executive MBA market in the UAE, as well as educational activities involving UK in South Asia and many other locations.

Strong educational background with an MSc in Global Human Resources Management, BSc (Hons) in Economics and a General Diploma in the Role of Labour Cooperatives in the Informal Urban Sector (ILO). Has an impressive record of streamlining operations, developing and implementing organisational solutions and applying overall human resources expertise to enable accomplishment of strategic goals.

 


Biru Grewal

Recruitment & Admissions Officer

Biru spent years of schooling in Doha, Qatar before leaving for the UK where she graduated with an MSc in International Business from Birmingham City University, United Kingdom. She spent six years with an International student recruitment consultancy in Delhi and was promoted to leading and managing a team of staff at the branch office in Ludhiana, India. Biru worked closely with a number of UK universities and regularly supported many at the British Council exhibitions in India. She has counselled hundreds of students and was praised by several UK universities for her work, enthusiasm and tenacity. Biru is responsible for student admissions and international recruitment in Doha, Qatar.

 


Nadia Mohammad Abdulla

Business Relations Manager

Nadia is a local national with substantial knowledge within the education sector in Qatar, who has a wealth of experience in students counselling, finance, marketing and educational affairs, having worked for the Sponsorship Management and the Higher Education Institutes Authority at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. She brings extensive contacts and links within the market and is highly motivated with proven ability to forge successful working relationship with stakeholders. She has a degree in General Administration from the Community College of Qatar, also has an extensive knowledge in technology and social media. Nadia is an asset in promoting SI-UK services in Qatar.

 


Zahra Husain Maki

Marketing Manager

Zahra, a local national and brings a wealth of experience in customer service, sales, public relations, events management and marketing communications having worked for Occidental Qatar Petroleum, The Learning Centre and HSBC in Qatar. Besides having studied at Qatar University, she has attended numerous shorts courses whilst at HSBC. Zahra is bi-lingual and fluent in both English and Arabic. She has good translations skills and extensive knowledge of working with technology and social media. Zahra’s key role will be to engage with the local schools and community to promote SI-UK services.

 


Haroon Patel

Social Media and Digital Officer

Haroon Patel is a BSc Media Production graduate with a First Class Honours degree from De Montfort University, England. He is Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) with a certification in Adobe Premiere Pro and a working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop and social media technologies to achieve digital engagement and to produce creative content. Haroon has planned, produced and presented live broadcast for Demon FM in Leicester, where he was an integral part of the media coverage for Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival, in which the station were awarded the ‘Lifetime Contribution to the Festival’ award. Haroon was also a Technology Degree Show nominee, where his photography work was shown on the university campus and featured in brochures.
