If you are interested in studying Art and Design in the UK, then do not miss out as De Montfort University, University of Leeds, Middlesex University, Nottingham Trent University and University of Westminster visit SI-UK London office to meet prospective international art students.
In addition to learning more about undergraduate and postgraduate art study, Dr Bruce Carnie from the School of Design at the University of Leeds will also present a seminar titled ‘Insight about Recruitment to Design’ from 14:30 – 15:00, covering what the University look for in portfolios and how students should prepare their application.
Art and Design Universities Attending
De Montfort University
The School of Arts at De Montfort University encompasses performance arts, visual arts and arts management courses, offering undergraduate and postgraduate study that encourages a cutting-edge approach to contemporary practice together with strong academic critical enquiry and analysis. At the core of the School is a range of first-class facilities including the Performance Arts Centre of Excellence (PACE) building and extensive fine art studios.
University of Leeds
The University of Leeds, established in 1904, is one of the largest higher education institutions in the UK. Leeds is a world top 100 university and is renowned globally for the quality of its teaching and research. The School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies is an internationally recognised leader in research and research-led teaching in the History of Art, Museum Studies, Cultural Studies and Fine Art.
Undergraduate and foundation programmes are available in Art and Design, Fashion, Fashion Marketing, Fashion Technology, Graphic and Communication Design and Textile Design, while postgraduate courses include Design, Advertising and Design, Fashion Enterprise and Textiles.
Middlesex University
The School of Art and Design at Middlesex University is an exciting creative community, led by professional artists, designers and thinkers, who inspire and challenge our students in a friendly, inclusive and highly enjoyable artistic environment.
Phil Healey, the Head of Department for Visual Arts in the School of Art and Design at Middlesex University, will also be in attendance and will be able to assess portfolios, offer detailed feedback and crucially spot offers on the day.
Nottingham Trent University
Nottingham Trent have been teaching Art and Design since 1843, making it one of the UK's most well-established, renowned and creative universities. 92% of Nottingham Trent students are in work or further study within six months of graduating and the University are ranked in the Top 10 in the UK for subjects relating to Design, Crafts, Fashion and Textiles (Guardian League Table 2016).
The University will have £2,000 undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships available on the day, plus a small number of half-fee postgraduate scholarships.
