MBA International Business and MBA Global Banking & Finance

We have a number of scholarships for students on our 12 month full –time MBA programmes, providing a financial contribution towards your tuition fees. Our scholarships are allocated on a case-by-case basis to outstanding applicants.

Assessment will be made based on a candidate’s MBA application, CV, and Personal Statement. A rolling assessment process will be in place throughout the application cycle.

MBA Donor Scholarships

African MBA Scholarship

  • The scholarship holder will be in financial need as determined by the University.
  • The scholarship holder will be from the continent of Africa.
  • The scholarship will be allocated on the basis of intellectual excellence, relevant experience and evidence of a commitment to the economic development of Africa.
  • The African MBA Scholarship is a full-fees scholarship (£28,980 for 2020/21 entry), part funded by a private donor with a commitment to Africa and part by the University. 

Rosgen Family Scholarship

  • The scholarship holder will be in financial need as determined by the University.
  • The scholarship holder will be from Central or South America.
  • The scholarship will be allocated on the basis of intellectual excellence, relevant experience and evidence of a commitment to the economic development of Central or South America.
  • The Rosgen Family Scholarship is worth up to 50% of the Birmingham MBA tuition fee (full fee is £28,980 for 2020/21 entry).
  • The scholarship is part funded by a private donor with a commitment to this region, and part by the University.

Sean and Claire Henry Scholarship

  • The scholarship holder will be from India.
  • The scholarship will be allocated on the basis of academic ability, relevant experience and clarity of future plans as determined by the selection committee.
  • The Sean and Claire Henry Scholarship is worth up to the value of the full tuition fee (£28,980 for 2020/21 entry).
  • The scholarship is part funded by a private donor and part by the University.

Scholarships for Executive MBA applicants 

Alumni Scholarship

We are offering awards of up to 25% to outstanding alumni wishing to undertake Executive MBA study at the University during 2020/21.

Assessment will be made based on a candidate’s MBA application, CV, and Personal Statement. A rolling assessment process will be in place throughout the application cycle. These scholarships are only available for offer holders of our Executive MBA.

The scholarship will be allocated on the basis of academic ability and relevant experience.

Candidates must:

  • Gain admission to the Executive MBA programme at Birmingham for 2020/21 entry
  • Be an alumnus of the University, which includes any student who has undertaken an undergraduate degree or exchange programme (for no less than one semester) at Birmingham
  • Be self-funded or applying for a postgraduate government loan to pay your fees and living expenses

Responsible Business Scholarship

We are offering awards of up to 50% to outstanding candidates wishing to undertake Executive MBA study at the University during 2020/21.

Assessment will be made based on a candidate’s MBA application, CV, and Personal Statement. A rolling assessment process will be in place throughout the application cycle. These scholarships are only available for offer holders of our Executive MBA.

The Responsible Business Scholarship will be allocated on the basis of academic ability, relevant experience and clarity of future plans as determined by the selection committee.

Candidates will be required to:

  • Gain admission to the Executive MBA programme at Birmingham for 2020/21 entry
  • Complete an essay demonstrating their commitment to Responsible Business in their current role and/or in their future plans
  • There will also be a requirement that the candidate’s MBA Executive dissertation will include a Responsible Business element
  • Be self-funded or applying for a postgraduate government loan to pay your fees and living expenses
