Funding for new students

Our Department of Social & Policy Sciences is funding new applicants on this part-time, distance-learning master’s course.

Availability

You can apply for this funding if you have received an offer to study MSc Humanitarianism, Conflict and Development for 2020/21.

To apply for this scholarship, you must have a high academic achievement; the equivalent of a 1st Honours degree or, exceptionally, a high 2:1 degree.

In addition, we will give strong preference if you:

  • are from a low income country or countries considered to be of ‘high or moderate fragility’ as per Department for International Development
  • are from a country with a Humanitarian Response plan as per Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs list
  • hold one of the eligible immigration statuses as set out on the Sanctuary Scholarship scheme

Funding

The scholarship value is £4,000. This will be applied as a discount on your tuition fees (for 2020/21 this is £5,560 per year).

There are up to two scholarships available.
